Robert Ferguson

President, Science and Public Policy InstituteRobert Ferguson has over 25 years of experience on Capitol Hill, during which he served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Jack Fields (R) from 1981 to 1997, Congressman John E. Peterson (R) from 1997 to 2002, and Congressman Rick Renzi (R) in 2002. He is President of the Science and Public Policy Institute.

Following his work in Congress, Ferguson founded the Center for Science and Public Policy (CSPP) in 2003 as a branch of the organization Frontiers of Freedom. Ferguson served as CSPP’s initial executive director, dealing with issues such as climate and environmental policy. In an interview with The Heartland Institute, Ferguson related that his job at CSPP was to present a balanced, two-sided view of climate change.

Ferguson served on active duty in the U.S. Army for four years, and is a graduate of Brigham Young University.
